Binyam's Big Trip
This story is about a young boy, Binyam, whose parents take him on a trip to visit his birth country of Ethiopia. He gets to visit historical sights, learn Amharic words, eat traditional Ethiopian foods, and visit the orphanage where he lived before he was adopted. Binyam learns that he can be very proud of being both American and Ethiopian.
This simple story helps us to open the door to our adopted children to ask questions and learn about thier own adoption and adoption story. We hope you enjoy it. We are also currently working on the follow-up book called Binyam's Bouncing Baby Sister in which Binyam participates in the adoption process as his parents work toward adopting him a sibiling.
