We've been in our new home since late April. Every room in the house was painted a very institutional gray color. Yuck! We have worked hard to add our own style and personality to the house. For us, that means adding some color -- lots of color! We have a deep red dining room, a Tuscan orange kitchen, a dark yellow bedroom, a light yellow guest room, and a green office. We still need to paint the hallways and living room -- the largest areas in the house and too daunting to think about at the moment. But the room that will be Baby Ailor's room was still untouched. We found a pillow at Lowe's that we liked ($1 on the clearance cart -- yee haw!) We found some paint to match and well ... ta da! Mark painted Baby Ailor's room on Sunday.
It looks brighter than it actually is. The stripe around the middle is a dark green. The top is an earthy yellow and the bottom a tan color. I'd show a photo of the completed room but that will have to wait. We don't have any lights for the room at the moment and it's dark outside so, no pictures. Trust me, it looks really cool! Mark did an excellent job. We're getting a crib, changing table and a dresser from my sister. We'll continue working on it after we have the furniture. But with paint on the walls and all kinds of ideas in our minds on how to personalize the room, it makes becoming a parent feel even more real. We'll post more pictures as we make progress.
