Sometimes I Need a Reminder

I know that you all already know this, especially if you are a parent. But somedays, little boys and little girls can be real stinkers! Today is one of those days for Simon. Does the opposite of what we ask him to do, hollering and running his was through the grocery store, lots of head-butting (literally!), and just being plain ole ornery. On days like that, when it's nap time -- and thank goodness for nap time! -- I like to look at photos of him when he first came home. And I am reminded of how sweet, compliant and loving he can be.

So when nap time is over, I can carry this little reminder with me and find the patience to be the mom I need to be for him.
